IT departments can use the IT Portfolio Scorecard to benchmark themselves against industry or best demonstrated practices.

There are two levels of access to scorecards:

• Registrant level: As a registrant, you can see how your evaluation of an enterprise solution compares with your peer groups. However, as an individual registrant you cannot link all the scorecards created by evaluators from your organization. Since the scorecard is designed to allow you to compare your experience with your peers, you can only see scorecards for solutions you have submitted an evaluation for.
  
  
• Subscriber level: Multiple evaluations from a subscriber enterprise are automatically linked and averaged. Thus, the My Enterprise scorecard column represents your organization's overall experience with a solution. Getting evaluators from various areas of your organization — purchasing, product management, project management, technical staff, and support staff, for example — allows you a 360 degree picture of your organization's experience. Again, since the scorecard is designed to allow you to compare your experience with your peers, you can only see scorecards for solutions you have submitted an evaluation for. Subscribers can, however, see anonymous detailed scorecards for any solution in the subscribed markets.

how you can get a scorecard

It's easy. Simply register as an evaluator and complete an evaluation. Once you're done with the evaluation, you'll see a page that offers direct links to the scorecards corresponding to the market, solution type, vendor, and solution you evaluated. As you complete more evaluations for a particular market, vendor, or solution type, you develop a more accurate picture of your organization's experience.

Of course the best way to use scorecards is to subscribe to one or more Evalubase markets. Doing so allows you to benefit from the scorecard linking to get a true picture of your enterprise's experience.
